| Bio: | Ah what a tangled web we weave! I discovered LJ a few months ago while trawling the internet for...reading material. And stumbled into a wild community of incredibly talented writers and artists who have really inspired me to get back in touch with my muse after, well, YEARS of neglect.
I was born and raised in New York City, spent four years at Smith in Western Massachusetts, two years in New Delhi, a year in London, a year in Oxford and now I go back and forth between Oxford and Delhi for my PhD. So life's pretty full. You can't imagine what all this moving about has done to my accent! It shifts depending on my mood, where I am, who I'm talking to and what I'm talking about. Various friends have their theories about the triggers and meanings of these shifts.
At any rate, I studied French Lit and Economics at college (Yay Smith!). The world being the fucked up place it is, I really wanted to make some kind of a positive contribution to the world and, well, economics has been the way I've chosen to do that. I don't regret it but its been years since I wrote a poem or a story.
So LJ for me is a bit of an escape from 'Real Life', someplace where I can rediscover old talents. I'm a voracious reader and I LOVE TO EDIT. I have a fair bit of experience with literary editing and would be happy to trade fics back and forth with like-minded writers.
